Medicinal plants are boon to the mankind for the wellbeing of the human beings for the treatment and cure of variety of diseases. The roots, seeds and leaves of Clitorea ternatea have been widely used as a brain tonic and proven that it enhances memory and intelligence. The aim of this study was to develop and optimize herbal cough candy utilizing Ficus religiosa, commonly known as the peepal tree, through the melting and molding technique. Ficus religiosa has been traditionally recognized for its medicinal properties, particularly in managing cough symptoms. The melting and molding technique was chosen as a suitable method for the formulation of the cough candy, allowing for the integration of Ficus religiosa with other ingredients. The research involved the optimization of the candy's formulation, determining the ideal ratios and concentrations of Ficus religiosa and other components to achieve desirable taste, texture and medicinal properties. The optimized formulations resulted in cough candies that effectively relieved cough symptoms and were well-tolerated by participants. Further research and development, including variations of the candy formulation, larger-scale trials and investigation of underlying mechanisms, are recommended to enhance the understanding and potential of this herbal cough candy....
